We are a group of scientists that offer consulting on animal research license applications for university groups and the private sector in Switzerland.
We have a combined experience of 15 years producing animal license applications in the field of basic neuroscience, yet are open for consulting on other areas of research. We are actively involved in research and fully up-to-date with the current legislation. We communicate and write in English, German and French.

Founder
Dr. Philipp Bethge
Neuroscientist · Founder & Principal Consultant
Dr. Philipp Bethge is a neuroscientist with over 10 years of hands-on experience in animal research and regulatory compliance. Throughout his career he has been deeply involved in the full lifecycle of animal experimentation — from experimental design and surgery to the preparation of comprehensive license applications in line with Swiss and European legislation.
As a certified Study Director, he brings rigorous GLP-compliant oversight to every mandate. His practical expertise in aseptic surgery techniques, combined with his command of the animex access platform, allows him to produce applications that are accurate, thorough, and tailored to the expectations of cantonal and federal authorities. He founded Animex Consulting Bethge to make this expertise accessible to research groups and companies across Switzerland.
